Top but bad at it, maybe that's why I've been |
Relationship Status |
Single since J—during our last conversation we had cold beers wet on our hands & he looked at me like I'd thrown mine on the ground, with his caramel eyes all delicious and concerned. |
Looking for |
Chat, Friends, Right Now, somebody beautiful to listen to my heartbeat & I'll pretend like I'm dominant enough to kill a man even though I'm really a softie. I just want you to feel comfortable as you take me into your throat like a magician with their rainbow ribbon in reverse I'll stroke your hair & scratch your scalp & think about how if I saw you on the street I would think: there's a beautiful person, and it would bring tears to my eyes, the knowledge that I could never have you. |
HIV Status |
Negative, I've been on PrEP since the day I was born, that is, since the day I lost my virginity, because it shattered me, how it shatters everybody, how we shatter twice, at birth and at the first union, but it didn't kill me & I take that for granted every day. I'm not vain enough to think it was all for me, but I'm thankful, I want to atone, I want to remember |
Last Tested |
November 2022 at SF City Clinic. As they were drawing my blood I almost passed out & they were out of apple juice so the nurse gave me grapes from her sack lunch & I focused on not throwing up as I split the skins with my molars. Teeth are dead weight but I swear I could feel their sweet nectar coating my canines. |
Meet at |
Your Place, Coffee Shop, My Place is beautiful, or so I hope, I've spent so much time and money on it since J. I have fancy candles & Aesop products, I wash my sheets regularly & I just need a boy who loves me for me, but first they need to think I'm hygienic & smooth & clean & then I can start fucking everything up again. |
I have wasted my life—on Grindr. I grew up with it, I've met almost all of my romantic partners on it, and I take a pill every evening just so I can use it without getting HIV. What I'm saying is: Grindr has seen the best (and worst) of me, over the years. So I adopted its form—the form of a Grindr profile—for this poem.
