These poems are from our collaboration ON HIGH, a cycle of experimental poetry that performs the narrative of an anonymous and collective addicted body. By manipulating generic lyrical boundaries, ON HIGH deconstructs and deforms the assumptions of both what a poem can do and who an addict is. We owe a debt of gratitude to composer John Cage and poet Giovanni Singleton for our use of the "100%" mesostic form and to motha-fucking Rome for the Rotas-Sator Square.
