The starting point of such texts is the subtle, on a short time scale, yet relentless phenomenon of fissuring and shifting of matrices of signs. Writing is the outcome of a natural process whose traits it embeds. It drives the recombinatorial dynamics of signs up to a progressive accretion of structures: tables, charts, approximate maps, unarranged notes, figures and fragments of statements. Words continuously move in and out of readability. They weigh on the écran plastique de la représentation (Louis Marin), whose cracks open to the unpredictable gaps of signification which any language triggers.
