FIG. 1 is a flow diagram of an embodiment of the invention in which three tiers of three-way valves are used to control the flow of the four main process streams carried by lines 1-4 into or out of 24 different points located between beds X to X of a solid adsorbent contained in a single adsorbent column or chamber 49.
