This piece began with its form—writing contained in a perfect square—and unfolded from there. The etymology and quotes in the middle square are from the OED. I was introduced to Isamu Noguchi's sculpture and Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience around the same time and the two are now oddly forever linked to me.
