3 POEMS J I Kleinberg
|
__
__
__ These pieces explore the accidental syntax of unintentional phrases: within each poem/collage, each text fragment is from a different source, and within each fragment, the words on one line are related to the words on the next line only by physical proximity, not by their intended sense or syntax. As I find these little clusters of words, I detach them from any trace of their original meaning. On my work table, they join an array of (literally) thousands of similar fragments, which I assemble anew into these small collages. They are visual pieces in which the color and forms of the type, the torn edges and the flow of shapes across the sheet are as significant as the words themselves. |
