Innovation is at the heart of systained performance advantage. New ideas create the advantage, spread that advantage, and sustain that advantage. During this life cycle, information technology is the connective tissue that enables more effective and efficient innovation and promotes the opportunity for implementation at the Enterprise level (see Figure [at right]).
