SWIMMING MACHINE BY ALPHONSE DAYDÉ, FRANCE, SIDE VIEW

The swimming machine patented by the Frenchman Alphonse Daydé in 1926 had so much buoyancy that a large part of it remained above water. Although in itself it was narrow, the buoyancy compartments at the stern as well as underneath and in front of the user were of considerable size. The wheel steering is well worth examination.
