DEPARTMENT MEETING

So many work days passed without injury—does that count.

I’m curious about the wrong things.

Professionally I assemble the pieces of a puzzle
that has been in everyone’s mouth.

I have not opened up at all. Not at all I’ll open up.

PASSING TIME

Things happen to children outside
of school. I want to have a computer

my mom drives up and hands me. What
ties our work together—the desire

to do something else. In my spare time I plan
a graduation speech—I hope you fail sounds right.

GONE ALREADY

Success is a weathered barn the farmer doesn’t even notice.
The clapping sounds of something as it closes.

I break through self
to access non-self observed by a genius I.

Choose a lookout who will tell you
when the teacher comes.
